Phi Phi Islands and Maya Bay
The Phi Phi Islands are the very image from travel guides that makes millions of people fall in love with Thailand. If you are staying at Mutti Family Villas, you are in the perfect location to see this paradise with your own eyes.

Why is it worth visiting the Phi Phi archipelago?
Phi Phi is not just islands, but a combination of dramatic cliffs, emerald lagoons, and white sand. Here are the main reasons why this trip is a must-see:

Maya Bay: The very beach from the movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio. The bay is surrounded by 100-meter cliffs, and the water here is so clear that boats seem to float in the air. Currently, swimming in the bay itself is prohibited (to preserve the coral and sharks), but walking on the soft sand is an unforgettable experience.

Snorkeling with sharks: In the vicinity of Maya Bay and Bamboo Island, you can see harmless blacktip reef sharks and bright tropical fish right off the shore.

Pileh Lagoon: A natural “pool” with bright turquoise water surrounded by tall limestone cliffs. This is the best place to jump off a boat into the warm sea water.

Viking Cave: A mysterious place where swallow nests are collected for the famous delicacy soup and where ancient rock paintings have been preserved.

Phi Phi Don Viewpoints: Climbing to the Viewpoint will give you a classic view of the island's two isthmuses — a sight that will take your breath away.

How to get there from Mutti Family Villas
Your advantage is that the villas are located in the Chalong area, very close to the main pier for boats to the southern islands.

Route:
To Chalong Pier:

The distance from Mutti Family Villas to the pier is about 4.5–5 km.

By motorbike or taxi: the journey takes only 10-12 minutes. Head towards Chalong Circle and continue straight towards the sea.

From the pier to the islands:

Group tour: The most convenient option. Speedboats depart in the morning (around 8:30–9:00). The price usually includes transfer from the villa, lunch, and equipment. Travel time is about 45–60 minutes.

Private speedboat: If you are traveling with a large group, you can rent a boat directly at Chalong Pier. This will allow you to arrive at Maya Bay before the crowds of tourists.

Ferry: If you prefer larger boats, they tend to depart from Rassada Pier (Phuket Town), but many companies offer a free shuttle from Chalong that will pick you up right at the gate of Mutti Family Villas.

Tip: To catch Maya Bay without the crowds, try to choose tours marked “Early Bird” — they start at dawn, but it's worth it!
